JOHN Goodman stunned viewers in America as he showed off his increasingly slimmed down frame during a TV appearance.
The 64-year-old actor appeared on ABC's Live with Kelly on Wednesday morning to talk about his Broadway play The Front Page.
But his thinner appearance almost detracted from what he was saying, after the star previously lost around 100 pounds.
John has never revealed the exact amount of weight he has shifted, but was once close to 400 pounds before deciding to take control of his health two years ago.
Speaking to ABC News while promoting movie 10 Cloverfield Lane last year, John admitted he was getting to the point where he could barely look at himself in the mirror any more.
He said: "I just got tired, sick and tired of looking at myself.
"You’re shaving in the mirror and you don’t want to look at yourself. It gets dangerous."
RELATED STORIES
John's career has spanned more than 30 years with movies including The Big Lebrowski and The Flintstones under his belt.
But he is still probably best known for playing cuddly husband Dan Conner in sitcom Roseanne from 1988 until 1997.
His big frame made him easily identifiable, but John revealed during the same chat with ABC that something had to change.
He said: "I just stopped eating all the time, I’d have a handful of food and it’d go to my mouth.
"I was just eating all the time. I was just eating alcoholically.
"In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a six-pack of bud or whatever and just go back to my old habits.
"Then this time I wanted to do it slowly, move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore. And it gives me the energy to work, ‘cause work is very draining.”
