Man with bionic penis reveals his girlfriend found out the truth in the newspapers despite being together for nine months during This Morning appearance
Andrew Wardle was born without a penis but now he'll be able to have sex for the first time
A MAN born without a penis has revealed his girlfriend had no idea until she read it in the newspapers - nine months after they got together.
Andrew Wardle opened up on This Morning about being born with bladder exstrophy, which meant he had no penis and has had to undergo more than 100 operations throughout his life.
He appeared on the ITV show to update viewers on his progress and discuss losing his virginity to girlfriend Fedra Fabian, who he has been dating since 2013.
Speaking about his girlfriend Andrew explained to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "I knew it was going to come out, and when she was reading the newspaper the next day, I sort of said, ‘Don’t believe everything you read in the newspapers!"
Fedra explained: "It was a weird moment, I was in shock.
“I didn’t know how to react to it at first, but I was trying to be patient, holding back and asked a few questions.”
She continued: “We got to a point where we almost broke up, but we said, ‘Let’s give it a shot, let’s woman up, let’s man up!’
“You find a way to get through it, we’re best friends.”

Meanwhile, viewers at home were tickled by Phillip's line of questioning as he asked Andrew a few personal questions.
As Andrew explained how surgeons took skin from his arm to craft the penis, Phillip asked: "Could you tell them to take the skin from up here?" as he pointed towards his bicep.
Andrew replied: "They take what you can give them. I've now got what any man has and I'm going to cover up the skin graft with a tattoo."
Then when Andrew told how he has one more operation to "turn on" his penis, Phillip cheekily quipped: "What happens? Do you press a button?"
Andrew explained: "It's kind of like that. I can't make any excuses. I could do it in my sleep!"
He then revealed that to make it work, he has to have an erection for two weeks.
Andrew said: "I'm not looking forward to that!"
Viewers at home took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the interview.
One wrote: "Phil 'up and running', it's a c**k not sky broadband.. #thismorning."
Another said: "Just hear Holly Willoughby say 'bionic penis' #thismorning."
Opening up about having sex for the first time, Andrew said he wants to get fully better rather than losing his virginity.
He said: "It's not my focus. I want to be well. I've had years of kidney infections and been through more than 100 operations.
"I'll look at sex when I get better."
His girlfriend admitted that it was "a weird night" when she discovered her boyfriend didn't have a penis but said they've worked through it despite almost breaking up at one point.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
