However she was forced to abandon the car after she ran out of petrol and the police later picked the vehicle up with the cash in it.

Hugo later paid her house a visit and took her two children, later demanding that she pay him the money back in return for her children.

This prompted her mum Charity to disguise herself as Chrissie White to nab her cash.

After Debbie had given the cash to her boss in exchange for her children she revealed the heartbreaking news to her parents and Ross.

She told them: "You said that I don't need that money to survive and I don't - but Sarah does."

Charity asked what she meant by that and she said: "She needs treatment or she's going to die. She's got cancer."
