Watch the adorable moment Phillip Schofield ditches live This Morning interview to play with heroic four-year-old boy
TV presenter kept the child occupied at the window as co-host Holly Willoughby continued with the live chat
PHILLIP Schofield left Holly Willoughby to host Tuesday's This Morning on her own as he played with a heroic little boy.
The TV presenter was chatting to Jacob Onion's mum Gemma, who had collapsed at home and was only woken up by her son after he had called 999.
Despite having a speech impediment, the brave little boy managed to call for help and rouse his mother, and when he joined her on the sofa on Tuesday's episode, he was clearly excited about his big moment.
Jumping on to the couch, Jacob automatically started pointing at the River Thames outside the window and the boats going past.
Ever the pro, Phil quickly got up and left Holly to hold the fort as he took Jacob over to the window.

His sweet gesture didn't go unnoticed by viewers, who took to social media to praise Phil, 54.
One fan wrote on Twitter: "Phillip Schofield with the 4 year old boy on #ThisMorning has had me totally choked up. What a legend! Ultimate kid's TV star" while another added: "This is why I love Philip and holly! They are great with kids."
A third added: "How cute is @Schofe with the little lad showing him the boats. Live TV and he doesn't care he's showing Jacob the boats.”
The fun wasn't over for Jacob though, as Phillip led him back round to the sofa before presenting him with a toy for his bravery, a digger which he could peddle around.
As the little boy struggled to get it going, father-of-two Phillip gave a helping hand, pushing Jacob along and across the studio as Holly continued to chat to mum Gemma.
One viewer added: "This little boy is the cutest!" and a fellow fan said: "Phil with this kid" before adding a crying with laughter emoji.
