Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s wedding singer Holly Brewer is among the acts battling to represent the UK at Eurovision

MARK Wright and Michelle Keegan’s wedding singer Holly Brewer has been named as one of the six acts who’s competing to present the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Holly was chosen to sing at Mark and Michelle’s big day, which took place at the luxurious Hengrave Hall Estate in May 2015.

The singer references the occasion on her website, telling her fans: “I was fortunate enough to perform at the beautiful wedding of Mark and Michelle.”

It was this gig that gave Holly the confidence to audition for The X Factor, with Holly of getting the wedding gig: “Someone who is friends with Mark and Michelle mentioned me to them.”

“Next thing, I got a call out of the blue to sing for them.”

Holly is one of six contestants vying to represent the UK and since the announcement was made on Monday, she’s been inundated by support from her famous pals.

Blue star Duncan James – who worked with Holly in pantomime – tweeted: “Here's my princess Jasmin from panto 2 years ago reppin’ for the uk In the ! U go girl (sic).”

The other singers named alongside Holly are Danyl Johnson and Lucie Jones, who both reached the lives shows of X Factor in 2009, and Nate Simpson and Olivia Garcia, who crashed out of last year’s series at the Judges’ Houses stage.

They will be also be joined by the relatively unknown Salena Mastroianni, who like the others auditioned for the ITV singing competition.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Bruno Tonioli, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and vocal coach CeCe Sammy will judge the singers at the event at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.

After the performance, the public will choose their favourite song, before voting to send their choice to the Eurovision competition in Kiev, Ukraine.

The winner will go on to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest on May 13 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

All the action will be broadcast live on the BBC and, while the presenter is yet to be announced, it’s thought Graham Norton will make a return, possibly with new partner in crime Mel Giedroyc.

The reigning champion Jamala will be in attendance on the night to hand over the honour to this year’s winner performers.
