Paloma Faith reveals staggering amount kind hearted Brits donated during her epic Comic Relief performances
PALOMA FAITH is already one of my favourite artists at the moment – I’ve had her latest album The Glorification Of Sadness on repeat since it was released in February.
But now I love her even more after her song Enjoy Yourself helped raise a staggering £9million towards Comic Relief’s £38.6million total last Friday.
It was the charity’s official single and as Paloma performed it live during the broadcast on BBC One, the cash started rolling in.
In an exclusive chat afterwards, the Brit Award winner, said: “It is really amazing, collectively we can do so much but on our own we can feel quite powerless.
"I just had an email saying that (during) the two performances I did, £9million was raised.
“I’m so pleased.”

Paloma, who will play the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in June, added: “A lot of people are politically and socially apathetic.
“I don’t feel that is an option for me as not many people have the privilege of having a platform.
“It’s important I use it to amplify voices that are otherwise not able to have that platform.”
Enjoy Yourself (The Red Nose Day Edition) is available now on Amazon Music and other streaming platforms in aid of Comic Relief.
Well done that woman.
Check Maya out
MAYA JAMA looks picture perfect – which is just as well as she was all dressed up for a bash at the National Portrait Gallery.
The Love Island host wore this checked grey dress for the London landmark’s annual fundraiser.
Her boyfriend Stormzy wasn’t at the fancy event but she had plenty of other stars to rub shoulders with, including Courtney Love and Alexa Chung.
This stylish woman is never one to make an exhibition of herself.
GIG PRICE SKYFALLS FOR ADELE
TICKETS for Adele's Las Vegas shows have taken a nosedive amid fears she will axe yet more shows.
Resale firms have been forced to drop their prices by 80 per cent in recent weeks in a desperate attempt to shift seats for the gigs, the last of which takes place on June 15 at Caesars Palace.
It comes after The Sun told how fans were unsure about saying Hello to the singer, in Germany when her much-hyped Munich residency failed to sell out.
A source said: “There’s no denying Adele still has major star power but with tickets as expensive as they are, fans are worried about committing to gigs in Sin City now she has a track record for postponing them.
“Resellers have dramatically dropped their prices to get bums on seats.”
STEREOPHONICS frontman Kelly Jones has teased his upcoming solo record with the release of another new track.
The Welsh star is today due to drop his haunting piano ballad Turn Bad Into Good, which wouldn’t sound out of place on a Bond soundtrack.
It is the second song to be released from his album Inevitable Incred- ible, which is due out on May 3.
His 12-date tour kicks off in Birmingham two days later, where he will perform the record in its entirety for the first time.
GAGA IS BACK TO JAZZ IT UP
LADY GAGA is returning to Las Vegas for an eight-show run.
Her ever popular Jazz And Piano residency is back at Park MGM Dolby Live.
Despite rumours she is about to drop her seventh album, I’m told the singer will instead spend 2024 focusing on recording new music ahead of the release of her next movie Joker: Folie A Deux in October.

Gaga, inset, will play Harley Quinn in the big-budget film, alongside Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker.
Her Sin City shows kick off June 19 and tickets go on sale this Saturday if you fancy the trip.
