Casual Victoria Beckham wears comfy trainers as she’s seen with husband David in Paris… but hours later it’s back to glam
FIVE years ago Victoria Beckham wouldn't be seen dead in a pair of trainers - now she wears them all the time.
The 42-year-old, who once claimed she couldn't wear flat shoes as her hamstrings had shortened after years of wearing towering heels, was seen arriving in Paris wearing a pair of £80 Adidas Originals on Sunday.
Last week a letter wrote her younger self resurfaced - and in it she joked about how she's embraced a new footwear style as she's blossomed in to a fashion designer.
In the piece, published in October's issue of Vogue, she wrote: "You will learn, as you mature, to swap heels for Stan Smith trainers, minidresses for crisp white shirts.
"And you will never be one of those people who just roll out of bed."
Last year she told : "I just can’t do heels any more. At least not when I’m working. I travel a lot.
"Clothes have to be simple and comfortable."
Her realisation came after she was told to stop wearing skyscraper heels by her doctor, and she underwent an operation to remove painful bunions caused by her addiction to adding inches.
As well as the flats, another change for the mum-of-four was travelling alongside husband David, who was also seen getting off the trans-Channel train.
David looked typically dressed down and handsome in a black beanie and khaki coloured mac.
Over one shoulder he carried a Louis Vuitton bag, and in the other a tan leather holdall

The couple showed no emotion as they strode through Gare Du Nord terminal, no doubt on their way to watch some of the action at Paris' Men's Fashion Week.
Hours after arriving, Vic was seen in a pair of billowing orange slacks that were so wide they totally obscured her feet - and what shoes she was wearing.
On Monday morning she wore a contrasting blue shirt loosely tucked in at the waist, and kept her accessories minimal.
And knowing she is her own best advert, she wore a pair of £295 Flat Top Visor sunglasses from her own range and carried a sold out £1195 Half Moon box bag.
