Two weeks ago, Adele postponed ten gigs over five weekends in Las Vegas due to illness.

The superstar was believed to be recuperating in California, where she has consulted medics.

Adele, 35 — who last year admitted she once drank four bottles of wine before lunch during a Covid lockdown — has also reportedly been warned about the risk of long-term damage to her voice because of a hectic schedule.

She is due to perform ten gigs in Munich in August after completing her Las Vegas residency in June.

But one of her fans wrote to the performer online: “Don’t postpone Munich please. I spent a lot on accommodation and flight tickets.”

Another said: “Any updates soon? We need to plan and it’s impossible to do if we don’t have new dates. Leaving us in limbo is unfair.”

One follower accused London-born Adele of “laziness and excuses”.

But others urged the star to focus on her health.

One said: “This is not your fault and you deserve rest.”

It comes after we told last month that thousands of tickets for gigs at Munich’s 80,000 capacity Messe Arena were unsold after complaints about how expensive they were.

Yesterday, thousands were still available on Ticketmaster.

An industry source said: “There is some fan reticence about buying the tickets, because people are worried about whether Adele will be well enough to perform them all.

“People follow her extremely closely — and Adele has been silent for a couple of weeks since announcing she was ill and taking a break.

“So her followers are worried about her and when she will be back.

“But Adele has access to the very best treatment for whatever she needs in California, and a strong team around her.”

Adele, dating US sports agent Rich Paul, announced two weeks ago she had to “take a beat and pause my Vegas residency”.

Fans are waiting for the gigs to be re-scheduled.

'Taken a toll'

Revealing she was postponing ten dates in March, she added: “I was sick at the end of the last leg.

“I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice.

“On doctor’s orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly.

“The remaining 5 weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date.”

Adele has battled a painful spinal condition, a fungal skin infection and chest problems during her residency which started in November, 2022.

Last month, she said she had ended a booze ban after packing it in last year because wine damaged her voice.
