EastEnders fans left baffled as Max Branning eats a sandwich while Jack beats up Danny

Jack was distraught after Ronnie and Roxy's funeral

EASTENDERS fans were left baffled on Friday night when Max Branning continued eating his bacon sandwich while his brother Jack beat up Danny.

Things got tense when Danny demanded £20,000 from Jack as a "favour" which led to the spat.

Emotions ran high as Jack, who attended his wife Ronnie's funeral that day, said: "You trying to make money out of me?"

Within seconds Jack lays into Danny who is screaming at Max for help but he continues to eat his sandwich.

Viewers took to Twitter to talk about the bizarre scene with many saying: "You don't come between a man and his food".

Another said: "Jack and Max are the baddest. Jack annihilating Danny and Max puts ketchup on his food. Spectacular #EastEnders”.

However, someone else was more intrigued by Max putting ketchup on his sambo saying: "@bbceastenders I've seen some horrible things in my time on Eastenders but the way Max ruined that sandwich with ketchup is unforgivable.”

Earlier in the episode, EastEnders paid a very fitting tribute to Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell tonight as they turned their funeral into their final party.

It was a sombre and emotional service, which saw Phil Mitchell get up and read a poem to his late cousins, and saw tensions rise between family members.

But even in death, the girls brought the church together as the vicar said: "Before we say prayers, I understand we have another song which I believe was a particular favourite of Veronica and Roxanne."

Glow sticks were then handed out among the congregation and Billy Mitchell shut off the lights as a dance track played over the speakers.

Everyone got to their feet and started dancing while waving the sticks in the air, much to the bemusement of Dot Cotton and Shirley Carter.

Ronnie and Roxy arrived in Walford fresh from running a bar on the party island of Ibiza and open up a nightclub on the Square.

And viewers thought it was a fitting way to say goodbye to the party girls.

One wrote: "Glow sticks, mum's favourite music and dancing - a special way for the children to remember their mum #eastenders #childhoodbereavement."

Another added: "Glow lights at Ronnie and Roxie's Funeral with everyone jumping like they are at a rave party. Brilliant #eastenders."

And one other viewer said: "Love that they literally had a rave at ronnie + roxy's funeral!!"

It was certainly a light moment in what was an emotional last goodbye to the Mitchell sisters.
