SHE battled the elements during the second day of her mammoth 500km bike ride for Comic Relief.
But speaking to me from the road this evening, Mollie King may be very soggy, but she isn’t letting the rain dampen her spirits.
Mollie said: “I can’t believe we got here. We set off at 7:30am and arrived at 5:30pm – it’s an incredibly long time. I got to the point where the voice in my head was saying, ‘You’re not going to be able to do this.’
"I had to keep telling the voice, ‘No!’ I am not going to pull over’.”
Opening up about her aches and pains, Mollie added: “It has been tough, we’ve had diagonal rain. I’m feeling pain on the balls of my feet. I am feeling pain in places I wasn’t expecting and that is a bit scary.
“My body feels like it’s at the point where it’s starting to hit a wall and we’re not even half way.”

So far the Saturdays pop star has raised over £135,000 for charity and today she put her head down and battled on to Burton-on-Trent, taking on huge hills in the driving rain.
Now, with 300 km to go to the finish line in Hull, Mollie said she’s been inspired to keep pedalling thanks to her listeners and her late dad Stephen – who passed away in November 2022 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Mollie said: “The donations from Radio 1 listeners has been unbelievable. This is such a team effort. I keep hearing my dad’s voice in my head.
"I just know what he would be saying and I can hear it so loud. It is keeping me going massively.”
