Danny Cipriani leaps to defence of former lover Katie Price after Alex Reid slams her
England rugby ace says model and presenter should stay on Loose Women after Alex says she brings shame on the show
DANNY Cipriani has defended his former lover Katie Price after ex-husband Alex Reid slammed Loose Women bosses for hiring her.
Rugby ace Danny believes the model and presenter has every right to be on the daytime show as viewers are keen to hear what she has to say.
Danny said: “People want to hear her opinion.
“Has she been a good mum? Yes I think a lot of people would say she has been.
“She has cared for them and in difficult situations she has remained a doting mother. She has a lot of fans in that sense.”
But Katie’s cross-dressing former hubby thinks differently – as he recently told the Sun’s Bizarre column that he believes Katie brings shame to the programme.
Alex said: “I don’t think she sets a very good example to people who watch Loose Women.
“She is not someone who should represent and be a panellist.
“Katie brings absolute shame on the production, it is a shame on modern society and what we stand for and put up with.”

Former glamour model Katie famously nicknamed the sportsman Danny Chipolata after catching him in bed with another woman.
She publicly criticised his manhood in her tell-all autobiography telling readers: “In my experience he was a bit lean in the most obvious departments.
“That’s why I nicknamed him Danny Chipolata. He can no longer hit the right spots on the rugby field and he certainly can’t find them on a woman.”
Despite their history, that saw the pair briefly date in 2011, Danny insisted that he feels no negative emotions towards his ex.
He continued: “I don’t have any bad words to say about her. She’s chosen to speak on difficult subjects to make money because that is her world.”
While Katie is famed for her appearances on I’m A Celeb and Celebrity Big Brother – Danny claims that he would never want to star in a reality TV show.
He said: “I dipped my toe in that side of the world and seen how people behave but it’s not me. I wouldn’t dare do reality TV like she does.”
