‘Don’t look!’ Emma Stone begs as she admits ‘dress is broken’ while accepting Best Actress Oscar and tries to hide rip
Emma won one of the biggest awards at the Oscars
EMMA Stone was left shaking after she suffered a major wardrobe malfunction during her win at the 2024 Academy Awards.
The Hollywood star, who won Best Actress for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor Things, pointed out her "broken" dress after taking to the stage to collect her gong.

"My dress is broken," she said through tears while hugging former Best Actress winners.
The La La Land actress then jokingly revealed why she thinks it ripped in the first place adding, "I think it happened during I'm Just Ken. I'm pretty sure."
After thanking her fellow cast members and her family, Emma, 35, pleaded that no one paid attention to her fashion mishap.
"Don't look at the back of my dress," she said as she turned away from the mic and hid the rip with her hand.
The actress still looked stunning in a green strapless gown by Louis Vuitton despite the mishap.
She paired it with a 30-carat yellow diamond choker necklace.
The Easy A star also shouted out to her daughter in a sweet tribute referencing Taylor Swift at the end of her speech.
“I really just want to thank my family — my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave," she said through tears.

Sunday night's win was the second Academy Award for her.
Emma also also won Best Actress in 2016 for her role in the musical film La La Land.

Hollywood’s biggest night hit the small screen on ABC on Sunday, March 10, at a sprightly 7 p.m. ET.
This was an hour earlier than usual, or two, considering the daylight savings time change.
As usual, the 96th annual Oscars were held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
Late-night star Jimmy Kimmel served as host and flatlined with a "cringe" joke about Robert Downey Jr.'s past drug use.
The Oscars saw the year’s most critically acclaimed movies, actors, directors, and everyone behind them duke it out.
Oppenheimer (13 nods), Poor Things (10), Killers of The Flower Moon (10), and Barbie (8) led the tally.
Fans felt the Kenergy as Ryan Gosling performed “I’m Just Ken” from Barbie with Mark Ronson, and Billie Eilish drew tears with “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie.
Presenters included Mahershala Ali, Bad Bunny, Emily Blunt, Nicolas Cage, Jamie Lee Curtis, Zendaya, and a nude John Cena.
Awards-wise, the Barbenehimer summer craze has fizzled out, and it was a statuesque night for the Robert Oppenheimer biopic.
Best Supporting Actor was won by Oppenheimer's Downey Jr. (his first).
And Christopher Nolan's three-hour atomic bomb opus won Best Picture and Best Director (Nolan’s first Best Director nod).
Da’Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for Alexander Payne’s (potentially plagiarized) The Holdovers.
Anatomy of A Fall won Best Original Screenplay, and American Fiction Best Adapted Screenplay.

Best Actress seemed like a toss-up with Anatomy of A Fall’s Sandra Hüller squaring up against Poor Things’ Emma Stone and Lily Gladstone of Scorcese’s Killers of The Flower Moon.
But in the end, Emma Stone won out, which snubbed Lily of being the first native Oscar winner.
