Unforgotten stars Sanjeev Bhaskar and Nicola Walker tease details of episode 3 which sees DCI Cassie Stuart and DS Sunny Khan attempt to track down one of the abusers

UNFORGOTTEN stars Sanjeev Bhaskar and Nicola Walker provided eager fans with a few details about tonight's episode which sees their characters attempt to track down one of David Walker's abusers.

The actors spoke to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning about what to expect from the drama.

Last week we found out that David enjoyed the company of sex workers and Conservative party fundraisers in the 80s, but that he also struggled with drinking and depression which may have been because he was abused by a primary school teacher when he was a child.

Episode 3 will see DCI Cassie Stuart (Nicola Walker) and DS Sunil 'Sunny' Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) try to track down one of his abusers.

Viewers will also find out about what happened to Cassie's husband.

But Nicola also revealed that we wouldn't find out everything about him: "It's still breadcrumbs, I love the way Chris [Lang] writes. It's still a throwaway line; she talks about her husband to move the case along slightly, so it's by-the-bye."

She also admitted that viewers would meet DS Sunil Khan's daughters "but they're snapshots".

Sanjeev also revealed that they were in the dark about the storyline as much as the viewers: "We don't know anything you don't know."

But it certainly wasn't all serious chat on the sofa.

Holly and Phil were left in stitches after the stars joked about their acting poses during a montage of the serious crime drama.

Fans were treated to a catch-up montage of Unforgotten - but the actors couldn't keep quiet and decided to do a running commentary while it played.

While viewers didn't see the actors' antics, Phil exclaimed "Oh you are shocking, the pair of you!"

Sanjeev feigned innocence as Nicola made a face but Phil told those watching at home: "Oh I just wish you could have heard the commentary that went on during that montage then."

The host then revealed that Sanjeev was commenting on the camera shots of his face.

Holly also said: "But my favourite bit was the 'did I leave the gas on?' face."

Nicola joked: "Oh that's a professional term... you have to learn that to become an actor."

Episode 3 of the show will be on ITV tonight at 9pm.
