The singer's other most notable tracks include Memories, Holding On, Woman To Woman and Love Scenes.

Beverley was soon offered a record contract after leaving home at 18.

Within a year, her debut album had been certified double-platinum with sales of over one million copies after 52 weeks in the UK album chart.

She won a Brit for Best British Newcomer in 1992 - and performed on stage at the awards ceremony while eight months pregnant.

Beverley went on to become a mum of three and stepped out of the spotlight in 1999.

She made a return five years later but was struck by an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis.

Thankfully, she was given the all-clear in 2008.

Speaking about her illness in the past, Beverley said: "In many ways it has been a positive thing, it has given me a new lease of life.

"It's made me realise I just need to get on and do stuff that I enjoy. For a long time I had no interest in sitting down at the piano.

"I completely lost that vibe, but now it's back and I'm going out and giving it my best. "

Beverley performed a series of concerts in 2023, the Strings Attached shows, with fellow songstress Judie Tzuke.

She continues to write and record in her home studio as well as learning to play the viola.
