BGT winner & Diversity star Jordan Banjo swaps pop music for JINGLES – remixing classic Mr Whippy tunes
DIVERSITY star Jordan Banjo has swapped dancing for producing music - by turning ice cream van jingles into nightclub hits.
The Britain’s Got Talent winner spent three months remixing classic Mr Whippy chimes Greensleeves and Yankee Doodle Dandy.
He played his debut tracks around London while handing out a new ice cream inspired range of sweets for a telly advert.
KISS Breakfast host Jordan, 31, younger brother of Dancing on Ice judge Ashley, said: “I’ve always secretly dreamed of being an ice cream man and I’m a massive fan of the old school jingles, but it was time to get creative and playful.
“Those tunes needed a modern upgrade to grab attention, so we’ve dropped some beats and turned them into bangers you can hear coming down the road, and dance along to in the queue.”
The ad celebrates Nestlé's new confectionary range - Aero Neapolitan Melts, Munchies Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Milkybar Raspberry Ripple Buttons and Rowntrees Randoms Ice Cream Foamies.

Cat Mews, Nestlé Brand Manager, said: “Jordan did an amazing job reimagining the classic ice cream van and its familiar jingles.
“His creative work compliments what we’ve done by reimagining some of our best loved products with nostalgic, classic ice cream flavours.
“Now ice cream fans can have the fresh taste of their favourite flavours all year round, and dance whilst tucking in”.
