OONA Chaplin is fast becoming a familiar face that's started popping up in a selection of TV favourites, having appeared in Taboo and Game of Thrones.
Now she's joining new futuristic drama, Realive. Here's what we know about her..
Who is Oona Chaplin?
Oona was born on June 4, 1986, in Madrid to American actress Geraldine Chaplin and Chilean cinematographer Patricio Castilla.
She is the granddaughter of the legendary silent film star Charlie Chaplin, and was named after his fourth wife (her maternal grandmother).
The star is also the great-granddaughter of American playwright Eugene O’Neill.
Oona spent her the majority of her childhood in Spain, Switzerland, the UK and Cuba, but also travelled further afield due to her mother's acting career.
She was a pupil at Gordonstoun School in Scotland - the same one as Prince Charles.
How long as Oona been an actress and what has she been in?
At 15, the talented star gained a drama scholarship to study at Scotland's Gordonston School.
From there she achieved a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), before graduating in 2007.
Having been born in Spain, Oona went on to feature in several short films, both British and Spanish.
She was given her first role in an episode of Spookes in 2001 - and repeated the role in spin-off Code 9 shortly after.
Oona also starred in an episode of BBC’s Sherlock as Dr John Watson’s girlfriend Jeanette in 2012.
On the big screen her credits include James Bond instalment, Quantum of Solace, and The Longest Ride.
Game of Thrones fans will known Oona also played Talisa Maegyr in Game of Thrones - a healer trained in the medical arts who married Robb Stark after meeting on the battlefield.
Who does Oona Chaplin play in Taboo?
Oona takes on the role of Zilpha Geary, the half-sister of James Keziah Delany (played by Tom Hardy).
Viewers of the miniseries see Zilpha's surprise as adventurer James returns after he was believed dead.
The drama touches on the subject of incest as scenes suggest James is in love with his sibling.
What is coming up for Oona?
The stars latest film As We Like It is currently in post-production and is due for release at the end of the year.
She is currently in the futuristic show Realive - where she plays Naomi, a love interest of someone who freezes himself and wakes up sixty years in the future after being given only a year to live.
In the series, she is seen romping with the lead character, Marc, and is later discovered to have followed him into the future in a way he didn't expect.
