'SAFETY IS FIRST'

The Jump’s Josie Gibson reassures fans she’s fine after taking a nasty tumble – and the show hasn’t even started yet

JOSIE Gibson has reassured her fans she's OK after photos showed her sprawled out on a ski slope after taking a nasty fall while training for The Jump.

The star was seen lying flat out after losing her balance this week, before filming has even begun on the accident-prone competition.

However, while the snaps showed her being helped up by professionals, Josie has insisted the show puts "safety first".

She tweeted: "I just want to assure everyone we are not pushed to do any thing we do feel ready to do on #thejump. Safety is first."

It comes after photos captured the moment she took the nasty tumble while practising on a steeper-looking slope.

And she wasn't alone, as Robbie Fowler appeared to struggle after suffering his own painful-looking fall.

Robbie, 41, and Josie, 31, are among a slew of celebrities competing in the fourth series of the winter sports competition, despite controversy last year after contestants were plagued with injuries.

The show has doubled its training schedule to help keep the latest batch of stars safe, and it looks like they might need the practice.

Wearing a bright red ski suit and, fortunately, a helmet, Robbie was seen coming off a jump — albeit seemingly not from the top — and tipping forward as he lost his balance, eventually landing flat on his stomach and losing his skis.

Josie meanwhile was pictured in blue and yellow gear, losing control of her skis and swerving sideways into a wall as the tips crossed.

It's not the first time Josie's landed on her back while training for the show.

The reality star, who's been getting one-on-one coaching, injured herself when she landed on her back during practice in London, and later broke down in tears after another tumble.

Perhaps the series is called The Jump because The Fall was already taken.
