Who is Sarah Millican's husband Gary Delaney?

His style of comedy involves one-liners, usually delivered in a dead pan manner.

You need to be with someone you find funny and who finds you funny.

The comedian wrote: “You need to be with someone you find funny and who finds you funny, 'cause I don’t know how you get through the s****er bits of a relationship and the hardness of life otherwise, I don’t know how you do that without having a laugh."

When did Sarah Millican and Gary Delaney get married?

The couple tied the knot in 2013 shortly after Christmas.

Announcing the news of their wedding at the time, Sarah tweeted: "Thrilled to announce that @garydelaney and I got married last weekend. We are loved up and beaming. X."

The happy couple met when Sarah was just starting out on the comedy circuit in 2006.

Despite dating for seven years before getting married, Sarah and Gary didn't live with each other until after they were wed.

Speaking about this on Alan Carr's chat show, Sarah said: “I moved out of my rented flat that I’d be in for six years and bought a house like an adult, it’s big stuff, we’ve been together for seven years.”

She joked: “I just got sick of taking the bins out."

Do Sarah Millican and Gary Delaney have any children together?

Sarah does not have any children, due to not ever feeling “remotely maternal”.

Speaking on the Graham Norton Show, she explained: “I don’t like kids and I think it all stems from when I was eight years old and was given a baby doll.

“She was a giant and I remember having an inkling then what childbirth was and realising that I didn’t want something that size coming out of me. That was the moment I was put off children forever!”

Was Sarah Millican married before?

Sarah wed her first husband, Andrew Millican in 1997.

However, she has since revealed that the marriage ended very "abruptly", and "unexpectedly".

The pair got divorced in 2004 and she moved back in with her parents for two and half years.

In her book, she opened up about her past marriage - revealing that he just "got up and left” her.

In 2020, Sarah opened up about how she still "cried daily" as she struggled with her mental health after her divorce - despite remarrying.

She said she had been having therapy for years and might "never stop having counselling".

Sarah's stand-up material is largely based on her unexpected split from her ex-husband Andrew.

Speaking in her podcast, she said: “At the moment, I cry daily. At random times. I’ve had a counsellor for a long time and will always, because I find them sort of helpful, and I’m really interested in how my brain works.

“It’s been a few years now. When I got divorced I knew I needed someone to talk things out with, I didn’t really want to.

“I wanted to work through stuff so that if I ever again was in a position to meet somebody new, I wanted to be ready and I would be in a good mental place.”

Sarah went on:: “After my divorce I had a bunch of sessions and I never had the last appointment, as I always wanted to leave it open. But I’m sure that last one would’ve been when she said, ‘I think you’re all right now’.

“Sometimes all I do is moan at her. And sometimes I go, ‘I’m all right, I feel like a fraud, I’m all right’. It’s just to keep on top of it so things don’t come to a head.”
