A RAPPER who vowed to clean up his act and focus on music after being entangled in various alleged crimes has been shot dead in the Netherlands.
Cops in Amsterdam said they are hunting for a black man wearing dark clothes following the death of the 26-year-old artist.
The shooting took place at a business park in the Sloterdijk district around 5.30am on Sunday morning.
Danzel Silos, known to his fans as Bigidagoe, tried to flee the hail of bullets on his Volkswagen Polo but died in hospital later on the same day, local media reported.
The solo artist and member of hip-hop band Zone 6 was due in court next month for the continuation of a trial about alleged threatening and kidnapping.
Silos was part of a group of nine suspects under investigation regarding the violent eruption of an ongoing feud with rival rapper Kobus L in September 2022.

The group are accused of allegedly beating up their archrival, threatening him with guns, and warning him they would cut off his fingers.
Kobus L managed to flee and filed a complaint.
In August 2020, Silos was the target of an alleged assassination attempt.
The rapper, who had around 120,000 fans on social media, claimed that his mum's house had also been attacked several times.

The investigation of the fatal shooting on Sunday continues.
A spokesman for Amsterdam Police said they were currently trying to determine who witnessed the incident.
They said: “If you have seen anything, we would like to speak to you.”
Silos was recently focusing on producing new music in an attempt to leave his criminal past behind, local media reported.
Fellow members of his rap outfit Zone 6 have reportedly been linked with felonies such as serious physical violence and international drug trafficking.
A lawyer representing the family of Silos said: “They are shocked by what happened.”

Just weeks before his death Silos shared pics of himself stroking a cheetah and riding an elephant on social media.
Alongside the elephant snap he posted: "Peace and happiness wil outweigh money and the stres that comes with chasin it."
And in a tragic final post the late rapper wrote "You gotta enjoy life. Tomorrow is not promised" alongside a snap of himself floating in beautiful, green sea water.
His fans have been left heartbroken by his death.
One said: "Rest in peace. We've lost a legend."

Replying to trolls, another follower commented: "People think it's funny to make fun of someone's death for likes. Strength to the bereaved."
