Actress Michelle still doesn’t have a clue about the beautiful game, despite football-mad Mark’s best efforts

MICHELLE Keegan has revealed she’s still not got a clue about football, despite being the star of new ITV series Tina and Bobby.

The former Coronation Street star gave the beautiful game her best shot however, and asked her football-mad husband Mark to try and teach her some of the rules.

During an exclusive, behind the scenes interview on This Morning, Michelle said: “I still don’t know what the offside rule is.

“Mark’s explained it a few times but it hasn’t gone in.

“He’s a massive West Ham fan and he has told me Bobby is a legend [in the game].”

Despite not knowing much about football, Michelle admitted she wanted the job from the moment she heard about it.

She told Fabulous Magazine: “When I went for the read-through, Tina was there and we got on really well.

“She and Bobby used to live in Chigwell, which is ten minutes away from where we live in Essex.

Speaking about the drama, Michelle continued: “It’s a love story, but there are sad elements, too.

“No one hears the wife’s side when the husband is so famous. It was a very emotional story.”

It seems Michelle’s done the family proud too, as Tina recently gushed about how impressed she was with the 29-year-old.

Tina said: “I went to the read-through and I met Michelle there and I was so impressed with her.

“She’s so lovely, so down to earth and beautiful.”

Tina also revealed how Michelle’s husband Mark had been helping her with her accent.

She explained: “Her husband comes from Essex so he’s helped her a lot along the way with the accent.”

The series, which starts on Friday night, is something the whole Moore family are looking forward to, with Tina adding: “It’s amazing seeing your story being told.

“The whole family is involved and it was a fantastic experience. Weird but amazing.”
