EX-Doctor Who actor Peter Davison is set to take part in this year's series of Sugar Free Farm on ITV.

The 15-day fat camp sees seven celebs ditch the sweet stuff and take to the fields to embrace a life sugar free - farming their own healthy foods and cooking meals from scratch.

Who is Peter Davison?

Peter Davison is best known as his starring role in Doctor Who, he is one of the oldest celebs in this year's Sugar Free Farm, aged 65.

Peter was actually born and christened as Peter Moffett, however he chose the stage name Peter Davison to avoid any confusion with the actor and director Peter Moffett.

Peter has been married to his wife Elizabeth Morton since 2003 and has three children, Georgia, Louis and Joel Moffett.

Peter's daughter Georgia is married to the tenth Time Lord David Tennant, the pair have four children together: Ty, Olive, Doris and Wilfred.

Where have we seen Peter Davison before?

Although best known for his role as Doctor Who between 1981 and 1984, Peter Davison has appeared on our screens many times since.

Best known for his role as the Fifth Doctor, he appeared in the franchise a number of times after he left and also presented a documentary titled: Daleks - The Early Years.

Following his departure from Doctor Who, Davison landed a role in Anna of the Five Towns and has since starred in episodes of  Heartbeat, Jonathan Creek and Hope and Glory

Peter most recently starred in Toast of London in 2014 and is set to appear in the third series of Granchester this year.

Davison recently released his own autobiography in October titled: Is There Life Outside the Box?: An Actor Despairs.

  • Joe Pasquale - stand-up comedian and TV presenter Joe won I'm A Celeb in 2004 and has also appeared in Dancing on Ice

Sugar Free Farm starts on ITV at 9pm on January 10.
