As well as getting back to performing, the group have reportedly clubbed together to buy shares in Lancashire's Chorley FC.

They are said to be planning on performing gigs at the club.

A source told The Mirror: "It's a really exciting move for Chorley FC.

"It is a game-changer that has the potential to bring the town into the limelight like never before, generating a buzz and publicity that will shine a bright light on Chorley.

"Ronan, Shane and Keith are bursting with excitement. Boyzone's presence at this Saturday's game will undoubtedly create an electric atmosphere, filled with music, joy, and a shared love for football and community."

The group soared to international fame in the early nineties and had six UK No.1s - including Words, No Matter What, All That Matters To Me and You Needed Me.

They officially split in 2000 but they've reunited for landmark tours over the decades.

In 2013 they celebrated 20 years with a tour and new releases.

In 2018 they told fans that they would be splitting for good and released one final album dedicated to Stephen Gately who died in 2009.

The reunion is a big move for Keith, who is allegedly in the process of divorcing his wife Lisa.

The couple, who have been together for 26 years, share two children Jay, 27 and Mia, 23.

Keith, 49, is said to be "in bits" over the split and he moved out of their £1.15million Dublin home before Christmas.

The pair unfollowed each other on Instagram, although Keith did a U-turn and started following her again.

Keith first hinted at marriage problems months ago with a cryptic ‘clue’.

He made a cryptic comment about their struggles when they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in the French Riviera.

"We’ve had our ups and downs, our fair share of obstacles along the way, but our love and friendship and desire, our fight for each other and we are still going," Keith wrote in a tribute to his wife on social media.

According to sources, Keith is "hopeful" he can make things work out.

A source told The Irish Sun: “There is no one else involved.

“It is serious, but Keith is hopeful that they can sort this thing out. They care deeply for one another and their children.”

It was reported that singer Keith is deeply affected by the situation and they want to remain "civil" for the sake of their children.
