Elderly First Dates Hotel couple Sheila and Bev melt viewers’ hearts as they share a kiss and find love

Pensioners managed to find love in France much to the delight of the viewers at home

FIRST Date Hotel fans were beside themselves with joy on Monday night when two elderly singletons found love.

Retired reflexologist Sheila, 81, has been a widower for eight years but decided to have one last shot at finding love on the Channel 4 show.

The happy-go-lucky pensioner was paired with fellow widower Bev, 79, and despite him having a beard - a big no-no in Sheila's book - the pair thankfully hit it off.

After enjoying dinner at the hotel restaurant, and Sheila even giving Bev a foot massage back at his room, the couple shared their first kiss on camera.

Referring to his beard after the kiss, Bev asked: "Is it as bad as it seemed?" to which Sheila replied: "Yeah".

Her response made Bev burst out laughing before he admitted: "Now you’re the first woman I’ve kissed since my wife died."

Clearly touched, Sheila asked: "Aww and how was it for you?"

And if there was a dry eye left in the house, there definitely wasn't after Bev's cute reply: "It was nice".

The heartwarming scenes were too much for viewers, who took to social media to discuss the couple and their cuteness.

Bev then promised to take Sheila on a cruise, and the channel's Twitter account updated fans after the show that the couple could be close to booking a jaunt on the high seas.

Sharing two pictures of the couple enjoying a meal and a day out on a galleon ship, it wrote: "Since returning home, Bev and Sheila have been painting the town red. Their next port of call…a cruise?"
