PHILLIP Schofield has dismissed claims that he is planning on leaving This Morning after a fan raised their concern on Twitter.

who presents the daytime show alongside , put to rest a rumour that the duo were set to leave the iconic sofa after seven years.

A worried fan took to Twitter this morning and said: "Hi Phil, is it true that you and holly are leaving the show?"

Phil replied simply: "nope, totally untrue [smile]"

The relieved fan then added: "cool glad to hear that the show wouldn't be the same without you both can't believe the lies people post but thanks phil :-)"

Cheeky Phil then sent back another smiley face to reassure the viewer that he was here to stay.

Yesterday, Holly and Phil reunited on screen after the pair spent some much needed downtime away from the ITV magazine show.

Holly travelled to the Caribbean with her husband and three children for a sun-soaked break in Barbados.

While she was away, Davina McCall stepped in to her shoes to present the show alongside Phillip - during which time she opened up about her battles with drugs and alcohol.

However, they were soon thrown straight back into the joys of live TV after being forced to talk to co-star Rylan Clark-Neal via FaceTime after he got stuck in traffic due to the tube strike.

Rylan, 28, jumped in a black cab in a bid to make it to the studio in time, but he got stuck in a monster traffic jam.

They joked about the absent host when introducing his slot, by showing a doll made to look like the the TV star.

This Morning were in the mood to celebrate yesterday after discovering they had been nominated for the Live Magazine Show gong at this year's National Television Awards.
