Scarlett Moffatt reveals her shock at terrifying diabetes scare as doctors branded her ‘obese’ before three-stone weight loss
SCARLETT Moffatt suffered a terrifying diabetes scare at just 25 when doctors branded her "obese" before her three-stone weight loss.
The Gogglebox star has opened up about the health problems she experienced before overhauling her diet, and revealed she found it difficult to tell her parents how bad things had got.
The TV regular transformed herself last year by losing a massive three stone.
Scarlett has now revealed she previously suffered a slew of health problems and a terrifying warning from her doctor scared her into losing weight.
During an appearance on This Morning today, she revealed being labelled "obese" was the wake-up call she needed.
Scarlett said: "I'd been feeling like really lethargic and I was getting really bad backs.
"I was feeling ridiculously tired. And I went there [to see the doctor] and they checked my blood pressure and my weight.
"I said: 'I'm not overweight am I?' and he said 'No, you're obese'...
"It was was hard going home to mam and dad and explaining what was wrong with me..."

She admitted to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that the scariest part was when she had to be tested for diabetes.
Scarlett said: " They tested me for diabetes type 2 because they said I could be pre-diabetic.
"I was like 'I'm 25. I don't understand how it got to this.'"
During the chat, Scarlett also opened up about all her upcoming TV work - revealing she is going to be very busy in 2017.
As well as presenting backstage at the National TV Awards, she will also be joining been Ant and Dec’s hit show, Saturday Night Takeaway.
She said: "Saturday Night Takaway - Yes... They're [Ant and Dec] like going to be my new friends.
"They actually my friends now...
"I don't actually know my role yet - I don't think anyone's decided what I'm doing yet."
