A clearly traumatised Andy replied: "You lay one finger on her ..." before Phelan confirms he's with Andy's lover and adds: "That's why I asked Steph, just to make sure you hadn't done anything you shouldn't have done."

An emotional Andy simply replies "No," before Phelan rounds off the loaded chat with: "Ooh is that the time, it's nearly 12, I'd better get a shift on.

"I'll speak to you later."

Oliver's character Andy now feels he has to adhere to Phelan's wishes for the safety of Steph

Earlier this month, Corrie fans were left seething with rage after Phelan forced Andy into helping him much up Kevin's business - threatening Steph's life would be on the line if he didn't.

Phelan decided to rope in poor Andy (Oliver Farnworth) to help him carry out his wicked plan.

The evil builder was bashed over the head by a grieving Andy  in December and after telling police Kevin Webster attacked him, it became clear he knew exactly who had attacked him.
