First look at The Voice’s return as the new series makes its debut on ITV with coaches Jennifer Hudson, Tom Jones, Will.I.Am and Gavin Rossdale
THE Voice is officially back.
And bigger and better than ever thanks to its sparkly new home on ITV.
With swooping aerial shots of the studio, camera crews following the contestants from their mundane day jobs to the big stage and a few fresh coaches bursting with enthusiasm – The Voice finally has a buzz around it again.
Something it appeared to lose during its final year on the BBC after ratings dropped by over two million.
This time round viewers will watch red chair regular Will.I.Am, returning favourite Tom Jones and newbies Jennifer Hudson and Gavin Rossdale search for the next big superstar.
But will they find a star this time round?
After a group performance from the coaches, the series kicks off with 31-year-old Jason Jones.
A call centre worker from Walsall who performs his own version of Zayn Malik’s Pillow Talk.
James is followed by singer Jenny Jones, 18, and group Into the Ark.
The Welsh duo is made up of best friends Taylor Jones, 20 and Dane Lloyd, 25.
Sassy songstress Diamond, 18, takes to the stage next with a powerful performance of Alicia Keys If I Ain’t Got you.
She’s followed by Rachel Rose, 27, from Surrey, Jamie Grey, 28, from Teesside and Truly Ford, 22, from London.
Closing the show is best friends and flatmates Max Vickers and Mo, from Warrington.
Despite arriving (and living) together, the pair are both here to audition separately.
But will rivalry ruin their friendship?
The Voice UK starts Saturday 7th Jan, 8pm on ITV.
