First look at Gary Barlow’s new talent show Let It Shine and the singing hopefuls desperate to be chosen
LET It Shine finally hits our screens on Saturday night - and viewers are in for a treat.
The BBC One show sees Take That frontman Gary Barlow on the hunt for five boys to play a band in his new musical, which will feature his group's biggest hits.
Joined by Dannii Minogue, Martin Kemp and guest judge Amber Riley, the first episode opens with an extravagant sequence starring the 45-year-old in the nude.
But once hosts Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc take to the stage, it's down to business for the four judges as they listen to 16 hopefuls sing their heart out.
First up is Clinton Elvis from East London who reveals he is a massive Michael Jackson fan.
Starting out at the piano, Clinton then picks up the tempo and struts around the stage before making way for Deaglan Arthurs, a student from Northern Ireland.
Deaglan joked he gets told off for singing around the house and enjoys singing in church, before surprising the judges with his song choice and style of singing.
Next up is Jamie-Ryan Taylor from the North East, who is training to be a firefighter and hasn't even held a microphone, but does his nerves get the better of him?
Jazzie Mattis, 24, from Nottingham pulls out all the stops with his moment in the spotlight, singing and dancing to try and make it through to the next round.
Next is Tyler Jack Smith from Scarborough, with the 19-year-old confessing to being a massive fan of Gary's.
So much so, the singer decides to pay him a visit at his family's beach front cafe to encourage him to come and audition for Let It Shine after being contacted by Tyler's mum.

He hadn't told any of his loved ones he was auditioning, but will they get a happy surprise once he performs for the judges?
After each performance, the panel can each award a singer a maximum of five stars which then light up on a ‘Star Way’, but the auditionees must have 15 stars or more to reach the next round.
For stage two, they will be performing in groups – which include some famous faces confirmed to be Busted, Beverley Knight, Melanie C, Olly Murs and Kaiser Chiefs.
Then, for the third stage of the competition, the hopefuls will be put into five groups of eight boys before collaborating with the five guest artists.
The judges will then whittle down each band from eight members to five who will then go through to the live final.
Let It Shine starts at 7pm on Saturday, January 7 on BBC One.
