Gary Barlow reveals who would feature in his dream line-up as he takes over Dan Wootton’s bizarre column
The singer achieved worldwide success with Take That... but if he could do it all again, which stars would he have in his super-group?
Me
I’d have to be in it. I’d be happy to share the limelight with the others but they’ll be plenty of competition for the lead vocals, that’s for sure.
I couldn’t sit back and not feature in a line-up as good as this - it could be an idea for another big show.
Ronan Keating
I’VE known Ronan for years – he’s always been a good ear. I was gigging in Dublin last year and he came to see us.
He’s a hard worker from a very successful boyband in BOYZONE and I climbed Kilimanjaro with him. He also managed to put up with LOUIS WALSH for a few years.
Jordan Knight
GOING to the Eighties now and picking Jordan – bit of a heart-throb.
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK are the reason we got put together as Take That so we’d need to pay homage. Jordan was the most popular as well.
The lead guy – and he still looks good. That’s why we need him in the band.
Shane Filan
I WOULD probably have Shane in there. WESTLIFE were massive, weren’t they? Again, a nice guy.
I’ve only met him a few times and never worked with him. I’ve never climbed any mountains or anything like that with him.
But he seems like a very nice man and he is also a great singer.
Donny Osmond
DONNY OSMOND was the original boyband star with THE OSMONDS.
At the same time as THE JACKSON 5, The Osmonds were huge. And Boyzone owe it all to The Osmonds too, their first hit Love Me For A Reason was a cover of the Osmonds.
So I gotta go for him. There’s a top group right there.
