'IT'S NOT LOOKING GOOD'

Coleen Nolan’s son Shane admits her marriage is in trouble and reveals he’s changing his surname to Nolan

COLEEN Nolan's son Shane Richie Jnr has admitted it's "not looking good" for his mother's second marriage to musician Ray Fensome.

During an interview on today's Loose Women, Shane said he loves his step-dad "to pieces" but said it's hard for Ray to open up about his feelings.

Speaking about his mum's emotional segment on Channel 5's In Therapy, he said: "It's never nice seeing a parent cry, especially my mum. She's like my best friend, it's heartbreaking.

"I've seen her cry no more than five times... I think she hates crying in front of her children.

"She's never done it in all the break ups and arguments with Ray. At the minute it doesn't look great does it."

Shane then revealed he has changed his surname to Nolan as a surprise for her when she leaves the Celebrity Big Brother house.

He said: "When she comes out she'll be calling me Richie Jnr and I'll be able to tell her, 'No mum, I'm Nolan now'."

Coleen, who is currently appearing in CBB, spoke about the troubles in her current marriage to second husband Ray Fensome, admitting she is save the relationship despite their troubles.

She burst into tears as she spoke about her love for Ray and their arguments, saying: "I don’t want it to fail again...

"I really love him but I always feel like I'm having a go at him… That’s horrible.

"We have a row and I walk out and it drives him mental. I don’t feel happy sometimes, and I have this thing in me...

"I can’t be bothered facing it and I can’t be bothered sorting this out."

"I can’t bare the thought of someone staying with me if they’re not happy – [if he leaves] I’ll get over it."

She also insisted she does not want to leave her husband because they have lost the spark and he "doesn't hold my hand any more".

Coleen called the idea "petty" and explained she wants to work on her marriage.

She added: "I've never really felt good enough for someone... I know Ray doesn't fancy me...

"Oh my God I'm crying, I hate crying."

The pair married in 1990, but they split in 1997 when she discovered Shane, 52, had been cheating on her.

She opened up about the affair, revealing she knew Shane was up to something but he convinced her she was just being paranoid.

Coleen said: "He was so brilliant at convincing me I was wrong...

"He would look me right in the eyes... and convince me I was wrong. He made me feel paranoid.

"I remember that feeling of elation when I found out [he was having an affair].. I went 'Yes! I knew it...'

"It was a feeling of euphoria before the absolute devastation hit me – he still convinced me to stay."

Coleen entered the Celebrity Big Brother house this week without her wedding ring after admitting her marriage is in crisis.

It was previously reported the 51-year-old had signed up for the show as a “trial separation” from Ray.

After signing up for the All Stars series, a show insider told the Daily Star: “Everyone is a bit shocked but Coleen has said she will do it.

“It’s a delicate time so after Christmas she might change her mind but she’s very much on board.”

Celebrity Big Brother All Stars vs New Stars kicked off on Tuesday with an explosive line-up.
