Coronation Street’s Johnny Connor dumps Jenny Bradley after her plan to expose Aidan’s affair backfires
The relationship wasn't enough to keep Jenny's crazier side in check and now she's facing homelessness because of her actions
JENNY Bradley's scheming ways have backfired in Coronation Street.
The formerly unhinged foster daughter of Rita Sullivan - who is played by Sally Ann Matthews - has been dumped by Johnny Connor after her plan to humiliate his son Aidan backfired.
Confronting Jenny in the pub after her outburst, he told her: "Drop the act, will you, you don't give a damn about her, you just wanted to get one up on Aidan.
I'm not daft, I know you two don't get on but he's still my son. And if someone hurts him, do you think I'm just going to sit back and let that happen?
"You're beautiful, smart, funny, but you're also vicious and riht now I don't want to be around you. I'm saying I can't do this and I think it'll be for the best if you move out."
Johnny's girlfriend Jenny overhears Aidan talking to his dad about his other woman and she confronts Johnny, demanding to know who Aidan is cheating with.
And after Johnny confirms an affair but refuses to name the lady, Jenny gets the wrong idea when she spots Aidan and Alya chatting together.
When she then overhears the pair organising a business meeting at his flat, she shares her suspicions with Eva. Devastated, Eva bursts into the apartment and gives her man hell – but is mortified to realise a platonic business meeting was taking place.
As Aidan and Eva go to the factory to put Jenny in her place, however, they are interrupted by the police, who want to question Aidan over his aggressive behaviour towards Adam.
And just when it looks like things couldn’t get any worse, Johnny makes another shocking announcement…
- Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights on ITV
