The HBO documentary explores the bond between the mother and daughter who died within 24 hours of one another
CARRIE Fisher and Debbie Reynold's special bond is to be explored in a heartwarming documentary.
Released this week the moving trailer for Bright Lights includes clips depicting the strength of the pair's relationship.
The documentary is all the more poignant as it comes a week after the mother and daughter died within 24 hours of one another.
The footage was shot over 2014 and 2015 and following the passing of the two stars, the premiere of the documentary on HBO has been pushed forward to January 7, it will then screen on Sky Atlantic on January 10.
Stars Wars legend Carrie died aged 60 on December 27 after suffering from a heart attack.
A day later her mother died aged 84 following a stroke.
Carrie and Debbie lived next door to each other in their later years and one clip shows Carrie heading to her mother's house with breakfast, calling out: "Mommy, mommy, I'm home!"
At one point the pair are looking through Debbie's wardrobe and the Singing in the Rain star comments how she'd forgotten she'd had one dress.

And Carrie is quick to joke: "That's what's good about losing your memory - there's so many surprises."
The documentary also includes home videos showing them as a young family.
Viewers are advised to have tissues at hand as the extent of the two's relationship is revealed.
At one point Star Wars legend Carrie comments: "I'm my mother's best friend."
She adds: "I know what my mother feels and wants... there's a lot of it."
Directors Alexis Bloom and Fisher Stevens said of the 95 minute documentary: "We started out making a film about Hollywood royalty, and we ended up making a film about love."
Bright Lights airs in the UK on Sky Atlantic, January 10 at 9pm.
