Davina McCall admits she’d like to return to Celebrity Big Brother to host Bit on the Side six years after quitting
Former host of reality show returned after a six year absence
DAVINA McCall wants to be back on Celebrity Big Brother.
The presenter fronted the show for 10 years after its original launch on Channel 4 in 2000, but decided not to return when it moved to its new home on Channel 5.
But as she co-hosted Wednesday's This Morning with Phillip Schofield, Davina admitted she would like to make an appearance.
Chatting to Bit on the Side host Rylan Clark-Neal during his Ryland showbiz segment about the rumours he could also be entering the house having won the show in 2013, Phillip said, referring to Davina: "Can I also point this out, and this is directly to the producers of Big Brother, something you said a moment ago."
Davina laughed and added: "If you go in or Emma goes in and can’t do BOTS, I’m doing BOTS."
Clearly excited, Rylan shook her hand and cried: "Look! Verbal contract! We all heard it."
Phillip added: "The way to get Davina back!"
Earlier in the show, Davina linked to Rylan in the diary room chair to find out what was coming up in his segment.
She said: "Look who is here, Rylan in the chair, what have you got for us?
Sitting in the pop art style diary room, he replied: "This is too weird, Davina talking to me in the diary room, I don't know what I think about this."
Also during his Ryland showbiz segment on the show, he discussed the rumours he is going back into the house too.
He said: "Heidi and Spencer are back, obviously I’m overjoyed that they’re back, but I found something today that really added fuel to my fire.
"I had a look at their website today and they have a little clothing store, one of the T-shirts they are selling says: 'Nobody in America knows who Rylan is'.
"Do you know what I think Britney [Spears] would disagree what that wouldn’t you?"
"There’s so many rumours about that I’m going in obviously because Heidi and Spencer are in there.
"But I host BOTS and I love it, that’s my job, but the more he talks about me the more I’m getting wound up.
"He piped up last night saying ‘he only won with two per cent of the vote’ but actually mate I won with the highest percentage in Celebrity Big Brother history.
"The more he talks about me, he’s only digging his own grave because believe me, when I’m in those camera runs I might just open that fire exit door, and believe me I know how to open that door.
"He’s winding me up."
