IT’S one of the BBC’s most popular shows which is nearing the end of its sixth series.
Kris Marshall and his Caribbean gang have been solving more grisly murders on their idyllic island - and tonight sees the final episode of this run.
There's a been new face in the team as Father Ted star Arlon O'Hanlon has made his debut as DI Jack Mooney, who will take Marshall's place after the actor announced that he'd quit the show after four years.
But what exactly is Death in Paradise all about, who’s in the cast and what's it about?

What is Death in Paradise all about?
Death in Paradise is a British-French comedy drama series which first aired on the BBC in October 2011.
Filmed on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, it is set on the fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie.
It follows the life of a British inspector who is assigned to the island’s police department to investigate a murder and ends up being forced to stay on as the island’s Detective Inspector – but he hates the sun, the sea and the beach.
It is in the BBC’s top three most popular programmes and is known for its formulaic approach to each plot.
When is the final episode on?
The new and sixth series started on BBC One on January 5 at 9pm and has aired every Thursday at the same time – tonight's episode is the seventh of eight.
It will be available on iPlayer straight after broadcast.
The very first series can be watched on Netflix.
Who’s in the cast?
Kris Marshall (Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman)
Kris is best known for his roles as Nick Harper in My Family, Adam from the BT ads and Colin Frissell in Love Actually.
He started playing DI Goodman in 2013 taking over from Ben Miller, who played the island’s first British policeman, Detective Inspector Richard Poole for the first three series.
Ardal O'Hanlon (DI Jack Mooney)
Ardal is known to sitcom fans as Father Dougal from the award-winning Channel 4 show Father Ted and the BBC series My Hero.
Ardal plays DI Jack Mooney and makes his debut on the show on Thursday February 2 as the team visit London for the first time.
He will then take over from Marshall when the team return to the island - and for the upcoming seventh series.
Danny John-Jules (Officer Dwayne Myers)
Danny is best known for his role at Cat in the popular sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf and Barrington in the children’s TV series Maid Marian and her Merry Men.
The show also stars Trinidad-born actor Don Warrington, French actresses Elizabeth Bourgine and Josephine Jobert and Scottish actress Morven Christie.
