Ellie Goulding reunites with husband Caspar Jopling seven months after ‘taking time apart’
ELLIE GOULDING has put her marriage to Caspar Jopling back at No1 after their relationship ran into trouble last summer.
At the time we told you how the chart-topper was spending time apart from Caspar in a bid to get the spark back.
And it seems that absence really does make the heart grow fonder, as seven months on the pair are back together and couldn’t seem happier.
Onlookers saw Ellie and Caspar on a date night at Ricky Gervais’ comedy show in London’s Leicester Square on Tuesday night.
While they walked out of the theatre separately — a usual tactic employed by celebs to avoid a fuss — one comedy fan told me they seemed “madly in love” while seated together inside.
They added: “Ellie and Caspar looked really happy to be spending time together as a couple.

“They went for a laugh at Ricky’s show and seemed to be really enjoying their night.
“Ellie kept a low profile in a beanie hat and sat next to Caspar laughing her head off at some of the jokes.
“It’s nice to see they’ve got that spark back because they make a lovely couple.
“When they left, they walked out separately and headed off into Soho.

“No one really noticed they were there because they were so low key.”
In September, we told how Caspar had asked Ellie to cool off her close friendship with Tory MP Zac Goldsmith in a bid to focus on their four-year marriage.
Pals said Ellie and Zac had bonded over their views on climate change and were first introduced at COP26 in November 2021.
I can imagine those conversations were thrilling.
But after Ellie and Caspar decided to give their relationship another chance, she distanced herself from Zac and even unfollowed him on Instagram.
You’re not missing much, Ellie.
Between snaps of a hermit crab and a jaguar’s paw print, it’s hardly the most riveting Insta content.
Phoebe Rising up the ranks
PHOEBE DYNEVOR has been named one of this year’s EE Bafta Rising star nominees.
She is up against Jacob Elordi, Ayo Edebiri, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde.
Speaking at the announcement at London’s Savoy hotel yesterday, the Bridgerton actress opened up about her rise to the top and Netflix movie, Fair Play.
Phoebe said: “Bridgerton was such a career high, for me to go to Fair Play and get the role was amazing.”
We will bring you all the backstage gossip from the Baftas on February 18.
Fingers crossed Phoebe wins.
Margot and Em lovely doubly
THEY say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and if that’s the case with Margot Robbie and Emily Bunt's stylists, they must think a hell of a lot of each other.
Barbie star Margot and Quiet Place actress Emily turned up to the Governors Awards in LA in very similar black gowns, which both had silver detailing on the front.
To cap it off, even their dangly earrings were near-identical.
Florence Pugh and Emma Stone also joined the matchy-matchy crew in pink sequinned outfits.
There must be something in the water.
Man, or should it be member, of the moment Barry Keoghan was also invited to the bash and opened up about how his new film Saltburn has changed his life.
Barry said: “It’s nice not just being looked at as the weird-looking guy, the unique f***ing freaky little freak man-child.”
You said it, Barry.
Barry snubbed
BARRY KEOGHAN missed out yesterday on a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGs) but he still has a smile on his face.
The Irish actor, who became a dad for the first time in 2022, told GQ of his son: “I can’t get the little boy off my mind. It’s beautiful.
“Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world.
“That’s the effect he has on me.
“He smiles at you and you’re like, ‘Wow, you’re smiling at me like that?
“I don’t deserve that, but anyways, thanks’.”
His movie Saltburn was snubbed in the nominations for SAG honours as unsurprisingly Barbie and Oppenheimer led the pack with four each.
I have a feeling it will be a two-horse race between those two for the rest of the awards season.
Skepta artwork canned
SKEPTA has pulled the artwork for his new album Gas Me Up after critics pointed out it appeared to be insensitive to Holocaust victims.
The London-born rapper shared a cover image featuring a group of bald men, one of whom had the track’s title tattooed on the back of his head.
It was rightfully criticised, given that prisoners at concentration camps during the Second World War typically had their heads shaved before being sent to the gas chambers.
He tweeted yesterday: “I’ve been waiting to drop Gas Me Up (Diligent) since teasing it April last year.
“Worked hard getting the artwork right for my album rollout, which is about my parents coming to the UK in the 80s, skinhead, football culture – and it has been taken offensively by many.
“I can promise you that was definitely not our plan so I have removed it and I vow to be more mindful going forward.”
Common sense prevails, this time.
I don't Dua cigs, thanks
DUA LIPA now has some New Rules in her life – after totally cutting out cigarettes.
Speaking on TV’s Late Night With Seth Meyers, the Houdini singer let slip: “I was smoking cigarettes at the time . . . ”
Turning to the audience, she added: “But I’ve stopped. I’ve quit, guys.”
She had previously only managed to stop while touring the globe with her record-breaking Future Nostalgia album, to protect her voice.
Dua said: “I don’t do dairy when I’m singing.
“I’ve also stopped drinking and I don’t smoke, either, when I’m touring.”
Bravo, Dua.
I binned the fags years ago but now I’m hooked on vaping.
Hopefully she doesn’t follow suit.
Tay loves a big mac
TAYLOR SWIFT didn’t let the rain – or her Golden Globes loss – dampen her mood as she went back into the studio to start working on new music.
The pop star – in my opinion one of the only women in the world who can actually pull off bangs – wore a brown coat and boots as she made her way into the Electric Lady recording studio in New York’s Greenwich Village.
It’s a big year ahead for Taylor, who will start the European leg of her Eras tour in Paris on May 9.
She’ll head to Scotland to play in Edinburgh on June 7, before three gigs in Liverpool, one in Cardiff and eight huge dates at Wembley stadium.
Given how rubbish our weather is, it might be worth bringing that coat over, just in case.
Ariana’s so Mad keen
MADONNA superfan Ariana Grande will pay the Queen of Pop the ultimate compliment by using her 1990 hit Vogue as the major influence on her new single.
I’ve been told Ariana got in touch with Madge’s team over her comeback track, called Yes, And?, and has been given permission.
She previously sang Vogue during her 2015 Honeymoon tour.
And the admiration is mutual, as Madonna got Ariana up on stage a year later as a surprise guest during one of her Rebel Heart live gigs.
Ariana said of Madge: “After everything she has accomplished, reshaping pop music and setting the bar higher and higher, I feel like she does it as she is still hungry and still loves it.
“She has done what she needs to do – there are no more awards and hits she needs.

“She does it as she loves it and that resonates with me.”
Ariana is in good company – Beyonce sampled Vogue on The Queens Remix of her song Break My Soul. Who’ll be next?
