Julia Bradbury reveals secret ambition to pole dance during cheeky chat on Lorraine
Former Countryfile presenter is swapping countryside walks for the 'dark art'
CHEEKY Julia Bradbury wants to learn to pole dance.
The former Countryfile presenter made the surprising revelation during a chat with Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday morning.
The 46-year-old appeared on the ITV morning show to discuss her new walking programme but admitted her hikes weren't the only way she planned on staying in shape in 2017.
She said: "My New Year's resolution is to master the pole.
"I got a pole last year, it’s one of those expandable ones which you can put up anywhere in the house.
"It’s literally from floor to ceiling, it goes anywhere.
"It's amazing exercise, and very, very difficult to master.
"The art of pole dancing is indeed an art, some might say a dark art but I’m going to go with art."
Julia's revelation clearly impressed Lorraine, who is also a keen fitness fanatic, and she joked she could be tempted to go to her house for some lessons.
But Julia warned: "It’s not very pretty when you can’t do it very well.
"It’s excellent in terms of exercise, it’s a full body work out, arms, body, thighs, but you do get a bit bruised."
Julia will have to fit her new exercise plans in around her busy family life, raising son Zephyrus, five and one-year-old twin daughters Xanthe and Zena.
The star gave birth to the girls after five rounds of IVF, revealing to soon after their birth in March 2015 that becoming a mother again had been a dream come true.
She said: "I feel incredibly lucky, I still pinch myself and think, 'I'm a mother of three.'
"All the effort, everything we went through as a family, is more than worth it."
