Janet Jackson and billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana welcome baby son Eissa after ‘stress-free healthy delivery’
Singer, 50, welcomed first child earlier today confirms rep
JANET Jackson has given birth to her first child at the age of 50.
The singer's rep confirmed the Rhythm Nation star had welcomed her son Eissa earlier today.
Speaking to , they said: “Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world.
"Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
In October she confirmed she’s expecting her first child with her British-born billionaire husband Wissam.
Posing proudly for her first photoshoot with her baby bump, 50-year-old Janet looked glowing.
In an interview with People magazine, Janet said: “We thank God for our blessing.”
Speculation Janet was expecting a baby started in April when she cancelled her tour for personal reasons.
She said: “I thought it was important that you be the first to know, my husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour.”
Janet has not spoken publicly since then but was recently spotted showing off her enormous bump at a London’s Back In Action furniture shop, with eyewitnesses saying she was looking at items for a nursery.
Fans of the singer gushed over Janet's amazing shoot with People.
An insider told the magazine: “She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well.
“She actually feels very good about everything.”
In 2009, Janet admitted she wanted children, telling Harper’s Bazaar: “'I think that if I'm really supposed to have kids, it will happen, if that's God's plan for me.
“I would hope my legacy would be bringing smiles to faces.

Janet married retail tycoon Wissam in 2012, with Janet saying of their ceremony: “'Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.
