Rage Against The Machine fans had been waiting for the band to reschedule the final dates of a reunion tour after they were cancelled in 2022.

But Brad told music lovers on Wednesday that the 90s rock band - which also includes lead vocalist Zack de la Rocha and bassist Tim Commerford - "will not" tour or perform together again.

Brad had written on Instagram: "While there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future.

“I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again.”

He added: “I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was.

"Thank you to every person who has ever supported us.”

Tom has now broken his silence and dropped a clue that points towards a big fallout among the bandmates.

Posting on his own Instagram account, the musician shared a video of his acceptance speech for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, which the band was inducted into last year.

Tom had begun his speech by notably mentioning the band's differing points of view.

He said: "My name is Tom Morello and I am one quarter of Rage Against The Machine.

"I am deeply grateful for the musical chemistry I've had the good fortune to share with Brad Wilk, Tim Commerford and Zak de la Rocha.

"Like most bands, we have different perspectives on a lot of things, including about being inducted into the Rock Hall.

"My perspective is that tonight is a great opportunity to celebrate with the fifth member of the band and that is Rage Against The Machine's incredible fans.

"The lesson I've learned from fans is that music can change the world daily. I have heard from fans who have been affected by the music and in turn have affected the world in different ways."

Tom went on to encourage fans to continue with 'the job RATM started' by changing the world for the better.

He added: "If you're a human being, stand up for your planet before it's too late."

Tom captioned his post: "History, like music, is not something that
'happens'. It’s something you MAKE."

Replying, one fan wrote: |So disappointed to hear you guys won’t be touring again Thanks for the music and memories."

Another added: "This is probably the most inspiring thing I’ve ever heard in the music world. Thank you for the memories RATM.

"Maybe bummed I’ll never see yall but the influence in my music and my band will be channeled in our music.";

And a third wrote: "At least do a final tour - fans spent thousands on tickets, flights and hotels to watch you guys and you just disappear."

Rage Against The Machine found fame in the 90s and were known for their ferocious live gigs and politically-charged lyrics.

They scooped two Grammy Awards and their music featured in the soundtrack for hit movie The Matrix and sequel The Matrix Reloaded.

But it has been a rocky road over the years.

The band split in 2000, with lead vocalist Zak says: "I feel that it is now necessary to leave Rage because our decision-making process has completely failed.

“It is no longer meeting the aspirations of all four of us collectively as a band and from my perspective, has undermined our artistic and political ideal.”

Seven years later, they reunited to headline Coachella Festival in California before touring the US, Europe and South America.

In 2011, however, RATM took another break - and it lasted 11 years.

The group reformed in 2022 for its Public Service Announcement Tour. The reunion tour had been scheduled for 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.

But towards the end of their dates, the band cancelled its final gigs.

They blamed it on Zak tearing his left Achilles tendon. However, the shows were never rescheduled.
