Who won at the National Television Awards 2017 and what happened on the night? Here’s all you need to know
THE National Television Awards (NTAs) ceremony is one of the biggest nights in the diary for stars of the small screen.
The awards - which are voted for by the public - recognise the actors and those working behind the scenes to create our favourite dramas, comedies, soaps and chat shows.
Here's our guide to this year's edition of the NTAs:
When were the National Television Awards 2017?
This year's awards took place on Wednesday January 25, from 7.30pm at The O2 Arena, in London, and were screened live on ITV.
What happened on the night?
The red carpet for this year's edition featured a glamour-filled red carpet, with Megan McKenna, Katie Price and Michelle Keegan piling on the glitz.
Keen to get in on the act was Keith Lemon, with the TV funnyman opting to wear a short pink dress on the big night.
The audience was left in hysterics early on when the host Dermot O'Leary began the show with a surprise duet with Welsh legend Tom Jones.
However, the evening wouldn't have been complete without the odd gaffe – 89-year-old Ken Dodd accidentally announced the same nomination twice when presenting the best comedy program award.
Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry headed up a star-studded winners list, which also saw Ant and Dec win best presenter for the 16th year in a row.
Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield took the Best Live Magazine gong, before Holly almost fell flat on her face after slipping on her dress.

Who was hosting the NTAs this year?
Dermot O'Leary has been the awards' regular presenter after taking over from Sir Trevor Mcdonald in 2010.
And he returned to host the ceremony this year, joined by Queen of the I'm A Celebrity jungle Scarlett Moffatt.
Which shows and actors were nominated for NTAs?
There were 14 categories, with several nominees in the final for each.
One of the big ones to watch was the TV judge award, with Strictly Come Dancing's Len Goodman and Great British Bake Off's Mary Berry going head to head after filming their last instalments of their respective shows.
Len, 72, retired from Strictly after 14 years on the show, while national treasure Mary, 81, decided not to follow the much-loved baking show to Channel 4.
Another notable nomination went to the Netflix drama Stranger Things, which is the first show from a streaming site to feature in the NTAs.
The show was up against ITV's Victoria and BBC's Poldark in the period drama category, reflecting the huge change in the way we watch television.
Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker has also netted himself a nomination for best TV judge after appearing on the show in nothing but his boxers.
The former England star and lifelong Leicester City fan had vowed to present the highlights show in his pants if his underdog side won the Premier League.
And he bravely lived up to his throwaway comment when the Midlands club achieved the unthinkable last season.
