The Jump 2017 official line-up revealed as Bradley Wiggins, Caprice and Towie’s Lydia Bright get set for TV’s most dangerous show

The full line-up for the fourth series of The Jump has been unveiled - with a healthy mix of Olympic athletes, reality stars, and models all willing to risk life and limb for the pleasure of the viewing public.

Olympic legend Sir Bradley Wiggins makes the fourteenth star to be confirmed for the Channel 4 winter sports reality show.

While an exact air date for the new series is yet to be revealed, the broadcaster has given a full list of stars willing to take part - one year after seven contestants were forced to drop out due to injury in series three.

The famous faces competing to be crowned winner of The Jump are...

Caprice Bourret

Former model Caprice,45, is no stranger to the world of reality television having starred in Celebrity Big Brother in 2005 and Ladies of London in 2014.

Revealed to be taking part in the show back in November 2016, Caprice will be testing her balance as she switches from the catwalks to the ski slopes as a contestant on the show.

Models have traditionally had limited success on The Jump - with Melinda Messenger withdrawing following injury in 2014, while Jodie Kidd and Lady Victoria Hervey finished 6th and 8th respectively in 2016.

Lydia Bright

The Only Way Is Essex star Lydia is following in the footsteps (or should that be ski tracks?) of on-off boyfriend James "Arg" Argent who competed on the show last year.

Lydia, 26, could go far if she follows former TOWIE star Joey Essex's lead - he won the contest back in 2015.

Meanwhile the TV babe has already injected a little bit of competition into the winter sport contest - sharing a selfie with fellow reality star and contestant, Made In Chelsea's Spencer Matthews.

"Reality show down, Chelsea Vs Essex @SpencerMatthews," she wrote with a snap of them both smiling.

Kadeena Cox

Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena will already have a thirst for victory having been part of the triumphant Team GB Paralympic force at the 2016 Rio Games.

The 25-year-old sprint and para-cycling athlete will certainly have an edge when it comes to being focused about the challenges the sport has.

Kadeena was also nominated to be the BBC Sports Personality of the Year - but lost out to overall winner Sir Andy Murray.

Mark Dolan

Comedian Mark Dolan is taking to the challenge of The Jump like a cyclist to lycra - by wrapping himself up in an all-in-one number.

Looking confident, the 42-year-old funnyman declared on Twitter that he is taking the competition incredibly seriously.

"I'm confident my @ProskinsLtd will give me the edge," the Balls Of Steel star wrote in the weeks running up to the competition starting.

Robbie Fowler

Retired striker Robbie will be hoping to score a victory as he takes to the snow for 2017 series of The Jump.

The 41-year-old Liverpool star caused controversy during his professional football career when he mimicked snorting a line of cocaine along the pitch's white line during a game against everton.

The stunt cost him a £90,000 fine - but hopefully he will resist pretending to snort the white powdery snow on The Jump should he go far...

Josie Gibson

While the official start date for The Jump 2017 is yet to be confirmed, it looks like former Big Brother contestant Josie Gibson is the first to have suffered an injury on the show.

Photographs emerged this week of the 31-year-old Bristolian receiving help after falling during training in London ahead of the live TV launch of the show.

A trainer rushed to her aid following the incident - no wonder The Jump host Davina McCall said contestants on the Channel 4 show are the bravest reality stars on TV.

Jade Jones

Double Olympic gold medallist Jade certainly packs a punch - a kick and a throw - as a top taekwondo athlete.

The 23-year-old Welsh beauty appears excited about participating in the winter sports show and has been teasing followers on Twitter about it.

"Starting the year with an exiting trip ! Can anyone guess what tv show I'm going on ??" she asked as she shared a snap of herself alongside her fellow contestants on Wednesday.

Can we guess? We don't need to. It's The Jump, obviously.

Spencer Matthews

Disgraced reality star Spencer will be aiming for redemption as well as the winter sport trophy as he takes on the contest just under two-years after he quit I'm A Celebrity amid a steroid use row.

No stranger to reality, the 27-year-old found fame on Made In Chelsea but has also appeared on The Bachelor.

While many athletes abstain for sex in preparation for a big event, Spencer might struggle - with the ups and downs of his love-life creating most headlines for his career so far and his love-rat ways winning him many enemies.

Emma Parker-Bowles

While you may recognise the last name, socialite, model, and journalist Emma might be less familiar to many than her aunt, The Duchess of Cornwall.

"I am really excited about taking part in The Jump. I have the ability of a mountain goat and am an adrenaline junkie so it’s right up my alley," the star told The Sun last month as it was announced she would be taking part in the show.

The last member of the extended Royal Family to score highly on the Channel 4 show was Mike Tindall - husband of Zara Philips - who came second in 2015.

Jason Robinson

Former England rugby captain Jason will be hoping to whip down the slopes having made a name for himself with his lightning fast moves as a winger.

The dashing 42-year-old sounds as excited as a kid at Christmas as he prepares to fly out to Austria to film the Channel 4 show.

"One more sleep before #TheJump2017 adventure begins!" he wrote on Twitter ahead of the show starting.

Louis Smith

Olympic gymnast Louis will be hoping to replicate the success he found on Strictly Come Dancing which he won in 2012.

The 27-year-old may also be hoping to improve his public image after causing outrage when a video of him mocking Islam leaked last year.

Taking part in The Jump has been an ambition for Louis since the show began - as he revealed on Instagram during training in December.

"So damn excited for The Jump @channel4 been wanting to do it from series 1. Look out for things the show's not seen before," he wrote alongside a snap of himself on the snow.

Gareth Thomas

Retired rugby star Gareth has tried to succeed in several reality shows but has yet to win any.

He came third in the 2012 ninth series of Celebrity Big Brother and was forced to drop out of Dancing on Ice after eight weeks due to sickness.

The 42-year-old Welsh athlete also tired his luck on ITV's short lived talent show, Get Your Act Together, but was kicked off after one week.

Sir Bradley Wiggins

It might prove fortuitous that Sir Bradley decided to retire from his cycling career ahead of his participation on The Jump should he break any bones like last years' celebrities.

However the former pro-athlete says he is looking forward to the challenge of switching things up from the cycling saddle to the ski slopes.
“Skiing is a big passion of mine, it was a mix of that and the other committed names this year that made me want to sign up," the star said in a statement.

"Major retiring Olympians such as Sir Steve Redgrave have also trod this path, I see this as a sporting challenge and want to go out there and win it. Just don’t call me a celebrity,” the celebrity, sorry... ex-cyclist said.

Vogue Williams

Irish beauty Vogue might be mending a broken heart after splitting from husband Brian McFadden in 2015 and actor Lawrence Fox last month.

Hopefully the 31-year-old model won't end up with anything else broken as she takes part in the Channel 4 show.

But Vogue is focusing all her energy in getting ready for her participation - and is keeping fans up to date with her progress while training on and off the snow.

"Back into training today! 30 leg kicks on each side, 12 push ups, 20 squat jumps, 24 arm up and downs, 20 squat raises, 12 roll outs X 4 sets," she explained as she demonstrated her workout routine on Instagram.

Other celebs?

Amy Willerton and Jake Quickenden are believed to be on stand by to take to the snow should any of the confirmed stars be forced to withdraw from the contest.

The former Miss Universe Great Britain winner and ex-X Factor star might be wishing they could take part in the main line-up - but the announced stars are likely hoping they steer clear of injury which would deny Amy and Jake air time.

The Jump will air this winter on Channel 4.
