Phillip Schofield squeals with terror as he comes face to face with great white shark alongside wife Steph
The This Morning host went on the first of a variety of adventures in South Africa
PHILLIP Schofield squealed with terror as he came face to face with a great white shark, with his wife Steph beside him.
The This Morning host made the strangled sound as he took part in one of his "bucket list" entries during a trip to Gansbaai in South Africa.
Enclosed in a metal cage, Phillip went shark diving and shouted: "Oh, God - it jumped at me!", as he held his hand to his heart.
But despite his apparent shock, the 54-year-old could not contain his excitement at getting to meet the majestic creatures up close, as well as being able to share the experience with his partner.
He said: "That was an incredible experience. This is the right kind of zoo - animals on the outside, humans in the cages."

Phillip added: "I'm just so pumped with adrenaline, but not fear, just adventure and excitement."
The clip aired on Tuesday's This Morning, the first in a series of films which will see Phillip go on a variety of adventures in South Africa.
And Phil's antics had viewers on the edge of their seats, with one writing on Twitter: "Actual goosebumps watching #ThisMorning. @Schofe is a better man than me.. sharks, no fanksss".
While another asked: "Can sharks bite metal."
