Emma Willis opens up about Celebrity Big Brother ahead of the new series
The Channel 5 favourite returns with a host of new housemates this week, with host Emma revealing her favourite former stars and dream line-up
Celebrity Big Brother host Emma Willis has revealed who she would like to see heading into the house for this year's series - with pantomime villains Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt top of her wishlist.
The American duo - nicknamed Speidi - are expected to appear as part of a stellar line-up featuring former stars and first timers, and Emma admits she would love to see them return after causing fireworks during their appearance in 2013.
The pair fell out with Rylan Clark, who now hosts spin-off show Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side - and could even be set for a reunion amid rumours Rylan is being lined up for a brief stint as a guest housemate.
Emma, who came to Bizarre HQ for an , labelled Speidi "absolutely incredible", and added: "There's lots of chat about Speidi going back in - and if they did they were so brilliant the first time as being that sort of panto villain where you didn't really know if it was real or not real.
"They kind of kept us all guessing and even after they left you didn't know what they'd just done, or whether it was true, or just for the show.
"So if somebody like that went back in you don't really know what they're going to do. Will they play it the same way or be the total opposite? Would they just be themselves and take the pay cheque and run, would they do nothing?
"So it's quite interesting to find out what people like that who have been in there before would do second time around."
Emma picked out Rylan and Speidi amongst her all-time favourite stars of the show, which also include Take That singer Mark Owen and Blue star Lee Ryan.
Star names expected to appear this series include Bianca Gascoigne, James Jordan, Calum Best and Coleen Nolan.
And Emma backed close pal Rylan to win the show for a second time if he was to take the plunge and return to the famous house.
She said: "I think probably Rylan would win it again if he went back in. He's a massive part of the Big Brother family. He won it - he went in as this guy from X Factor who split opinion, but won around everybody because he's such a damn nice guy.
"He's done incredibly well with his career and his life afterwards, he's an awesome host of Bit On The Side, and everyone who loves Big Brother loves Rylan I think.
"So I think it would be a given that he'd win it if he went back in. I would pick up the phone and vote for him!"
Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 on January 3rd at 9pm.
