Huge noughties rock band reveal they’ve reunited after court battle and kidnapping horror and promise new music and tour

A HUGE noughties band has revealed their reunion - and a glimpse of new music - after a slew of horrifying kidnap plots and legal issues.
The American stars teased their fresh material on Instagram, with an image of the lead singer in a studio in Los Angeles.

The Calling, who featured lead singer Alex Band along with Daniel Damico and Dom Liberati, found fame with catchy tracks including Wherever You Will Go.
The Adrienne hitmakers recently toured across the U.S with The Pop 2000 and have now teased lyrics from their new release.
Alongside the image of Alex in the mic booth, they penned the words in the caption: “I know you’re somewhere out there

Recently, we reported how lead singer Alex looks completely different 22 years after finding chart fame.
Yet he was previously the victim of a horrifying attack which saw him kidnapped.

In 2013, he claimed he was abducted and beaten by a group of men at gunpoint, who demanded his "Hollywood money".
Alex said he was dumped on train tracks after the ordeal, after being attacked walking from his Michigan hotel to a supermarket at 4am.
As a result, he fractured a bone in his lower back, lost a tooth, suffered a mild concussion and needed 15 stitches on his chin.
The musician told at the time: "It's a horrifying feeling being held down and being helpless like that. I've never been in a fight in my life. I've never been hit. It sounds ridiculous but it's true.
"This was not just being hit. It was being blown to the head."
Meanwhile, the band - which has sold more than 20million records worldwide - has become embroiled in a host of other legal issues.
Back in 2003, former members Nate Wood and Billy Mohler filed a lawsuit against Band and Aaron Kamin, as well as the group's management.
It was centred on claims of "mismanagement and fraud" and saw a debate over royalties from records, a dispute which was "settled very quickly" according to Aaron.
Later on, in 2013, The Hollywood Reporter claimed Alex had filed a lawsuit against Aaron.
This claimed any trademark rights over the band had "effectively been abandoned" as he had "disappeared" from the public eye.
Alex claimed Aaron "refused to support the band on tour" when they were promoting their album Camino Palmero.
At the time, Aaron replied and claimed: "I don’t know why I was supposed to give him the rights to something that was a representation of our collective talent.
"I’m sure I could find you proof of all the tours that I was out and about on."

Meanwhile, on a happier note for the group, they released new single Fallin' Apart this summer.
Their new album is expected to be released next year, with a tour date in Brazil scheduled for May.
