Peter Andre reveals heartbreaking reason he didn’t tell his mum, 86, about wife Emily’s pregnancy
PETER Andre has revealed he delayed telling his mum that wife Emily was pregnant again until she passed the three month mark.
The singer’s mum, Thea, has been diagnosed with vascular dementia and Parkinson’s disease and Pete wanted to be sure everything was OK before he shared the news.
“She’s always been so strong as a person, so to all of a sudden see her not so strong is hard. But she’s so thrilled and asks every day about the bump.
“We are such a close family and seeing them decline like that is very difficult. They’ve been married 68 years now. It’s unbelievable, they’re a real inspiration.”

Pete’s mum and dad Savvas still live in Australia and he tries to visit them three times a year as they get older.
Meanwhile, Emily and Pete’s intention of not telling the kids didn’t quite go to plan though as Junior ended up finding out early on.
Pete shared: “One day, without thinking, I asked Junior to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy for Emily, and he rang me and said, ‘Dad, I’ve got to tick a box saying if she’s pregnant or not.’
“What could I do? So Junior found out a little earlier, but that really wasn’t the plan!”
Pete had previously said he didn’t want to be changing nappies past 50, but revealed in October that they were adding to their brood.
The couple already share Amelia, nine, and six-year-old Theo together, who they keep out of the public eye.
Peter also has two older children - son Junior, 18, and 16-year-old Princess - with his ex-wife Katie Price.
