The X Factor star Honey G dealt a devastating blow as her debut single enters mid-week chart at number 149
The Honey G show failed to crack the top 100
HONEY G has been dealt a major setback after her debut single failed to crack the top 100.
The X Factor star's song The Honey G Show appears to have suffered a major sales slump as it entered the mid-week charts at number 149.
The aspiring rapper launched her music career this month following her exit from the TV talent show.
She released her first song on 23 December, but the track has failed to set the charts alight.
Mid-week figures show the song entered at number 149 - nowhere near the top 100.
Honey G had looked as if she was heading towards chart success after her song landed in the iTunes UK top 10 in the days after its release.
But the song has since stalled and failed to maintain successful sales and streaming figures .
It comes after The X Factor star revealed she is already making plans for her second release.
She told Digital Spy: "What I want to do is negotiate a deal. We want to make it happen.
"I don’t think there is a specific timescale – I think they [Syco label bosses] are allowed to make two singles with me, and then if they make a third, they have to make an album."
