Game of Thrones star Joseph Gatt appears in court over child sex charge as he’s supported by girlfriend Mercy Malick
GAME of Thrones star Joseph Gatt has appeared in court after being charged with having sexually explicit conversations with a minor online.
The British actor, 51, showed up in court in Los Angeles on Monday with his long-time girlfriend, actress Mercy Malick.
He is set to face a preliminary court hearing on December 18, ordered by LA Superior Court Judge Kim Nguyen.
He remains free on $5,000 (£3,960) bail.
The Englishman was arrested in April last year after cops showed up at his home with a search warrant.
LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force first started looking into the actor after a tip about his alleged online activities.

Gatt was charged with "contact with a minor for sexual offence" and felony possession of an assault weapon.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges at the time and was released on a $5,000 bail.
He was also banned from unsupervised time with minors, possessing pornography and using social media except for work purposes.
Following his arrest, Gatt, who has lived in the US for the past 18 years, denied the allegations in an X post.
