EASTENDERS star Danny Dyer suffers an awkward memory lapse as he discusses "being in line to the throne" on Alan Carr's New Year Specstacular this week.
The actor, 39, recently discovered he's related to the Royal family on BBC TV series Who Do You Think You Are?
As host Alan asks him about the shock connection, Danny struggles to remember the name of one of his famous relatives - before admitting his shock at the bloodline.
As Alan bows to Danny on the show, set to air on New Year's Eve, the actor says: "Well, basically, I am royalty. I am royalty. Royalty that’s gone wrong ain’t I? That’s what happened.
"I’m f***ing royal. Edward III, Thomas Cromwell all the way back to William The Conqueror, and the geezer that built Westminster Abbey, but I can’t remember his f***ing name! He is important though – proper geezer."
Asked if he expected such a huge bombshell, Danny replies: "No, I didn’t have a clue. It was a complete surprise. I still don’t believe it now. I thought they were winding me up to be honest with you, but I am in line to the throne."
Speaking about how he found out the truth on the show, Danny adds: "It got depressing first. There was a dead baby involved and all that. I don’t want to bring the party down, and then all of a sudden I’m bowling about at Hampton Court Palace giving it the big one. I couldn’t believe it."
Alan asks: "And you are a proper descendant. It ain’t like one of those ‘my cleaners second cousin twice removed’?"
To which the actor replies: "No, proper bloodline. What the f***ing hell went wrong? You know what I mean?"
Alan later presents a ruff to the star, after he admits he's yet to get himself one, to which Danny says: "I have got the scroll and all that b******s. It still ain’t hit me yet. It’s mental. Its got to be b******s ain’t it? They can’t lie though. It has to be true."
Elsewhere on the show, Sinitta reveals her ex Brad Pitt is a "good kisser" in a gushing chat about their former relationship - before giving them their own couple's name.
Appearing alongside Laura Whitmore, Keith Lemon, Greg Rutherford, Will Mellor, Gemma Collins and Professor Green, Sinitta takes centre stage with some shock comments.
The star used to date Brad, who has recently split from Angelina Jolie, back in the 80s, and has spoken openly about their short-lived romance.
As host Alan asks her: "Call me Cupid, but Brad Pitt is single again and you two used to date didn’t you?"
Sinitta jokes: "We did! We did. [Jokes] He has been calling and you know what I said? 'Brad. Move on'."
Alan responds: "Nice one. Is he a good kisser?"
To which Sinitta reveals: "He is a very good kisser."
Playing with fire, Alan then decides to think up a name for their former relationship, suggesting: "Maybe if you did get back together your couple name could be ‘Brinitta’, or just ‘Sad’?"
But Sinitta takes the bull by the horns and says: "I like ‘Braditta'!"
The outspoken star previously reflected upon their time together in an appearance on Lorraine.
The singer revealed: “The Brad Pitt that I knew was from a very religious family and was very family orientated.
“He was just a lovely, lovely, guy.
“I think it’s a real shame [what’s happening now.]”
And Laura Whitmore even hints at romance rumours with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni.
Asked about rumours they've been dating, Laura says: "He was a great dance partner and we trained together pretty much every day, Greg knows what it’s like, it’s full on, and that is it. I wish there was more to it but that’s it. We don’t love each other. We don’t hate each other. We like each other."
Alan Carr's New Year Specstacular airs at 9pm on December 31 on Channel 4
