Alison, 41, who once admitted she was "embarrassed" by her weight which came to over 20 stone, gushed: "I've totally changed shape, and my clothes are fitting alot nicer now."

Chatting to Best magazine about her time on the show she said: "I've lost two stone since I filmed Sugar Free Farm.

"OK, so I might not have shed ten stone, which is the amount I need to lose but, for me, it's not so much about the weight loss: it's more about feeling better in myself, and I'm definitely feeling a good deal happier now."

The former Big Brother contestant took part in the show which sees celebrities give up sugar while working on a farm.

Viewers will see the star feature alongside the likes of comedian Joe Pasquale, Towie's Gemma Collins and Britain's Got Talent duo Stavros Flatley.

Outside of the show, Alison is a gym regular and is keen to see what she could achieve in the future.

She added: "I work out with a personal trainer three times a week.

"He tells me I'm really fit for my weight, and says, 'Imagine what you could do if you were a bit smaller.'

"If I did lose a few pounds, I'd probably be running marathons, which would be amazing - I've never done one, but I'd love to.

"Even a half marathon would do."

ITV's Sugar Free Farm kicks off January 10 at 9pm.
