George Michael’s heartbroken lover Fadi Fawaz already scarred by death of Boyzone’s Stephen Gately

FADI Fawaz, the lover who found George Michael’s body, was scarred by the death of another gay friend — Boyzone’s Stephen Gately.

Irish singer Stephen’s heart stopped beating due to sudden adult death syndrome during a late-night party at a flat in Majorca in 2009.

Two years later Fadi, 40, posted a picture of him cuddling Stephen, 33.

Writing on Twitter, he said that he missed him terribly and added: “Wish you were still with us.”

Just weeks earlier he had been keeping vigil at George’s hospital bedside as his lover recovered from near-fatal pneumonia in Vienna, Austria.

Celebrity hairdresser Fadi, who had been seeing George since 2008, found the ex-Wham! star in bed on Christmas Day.
