Carrie Fisher auditions for iconic Princess Leia Star Wars role opposite Harrison Ford

CARRIE Fisher’s Star Wars audition shows how perfect she was to play the role of Princess Leia.

The actress, who died December 27 aged 60, shot to fame in the legendary space films, but even dressed in a roll neck jumper and without her iconic “cinnamon buns”, the actress managed to deliver the far-fetched dialogue perfectly.

Auditioning alongside Harrison Ford who plays Han Solo she is seen delivering her lines which must feel very strange out of context, including: “We fell under attack before I could get the data to safety, so I hid it in this R2 unit and sent him off.”

Recently Carrie had admitted feeling ‘guilty’ about revealing her surprising affair Harrison Ford in the last UK TV interview before her untimely death.

She had been a guest on The Graham Norton show on December 9 and she spoke about the reaction to her revelation about the pair being an item on set.

She explained to Graham: “I had no idea it would cause such a sensation, 400,000 news sites picked up on it and it became a little embarrassing.

“[The press] made a lot of things up which I’ve now have to talk about – I never said he was bad in bed!”

She continued: “I do feel guilty. I never thought about it before, but I guess he will be asked about the affair for the rest of his life!”

Carrie revealed she sent Harrison a copy of the book before it was published, and was adamant the book paints him in a good light.

She told the host: “He joked about sending for a lawyer, so he was aware of [the diaries] and I told him that if there was anything he didn’t like he should let me know,” she explained.

“I sent them to him and waited for him to get back to me. He is incredibly private and I am sure the whole thing bugged him but he comes out of it well.”
